About Me

As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, I have experience working with people of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, trauma, low self-esteem, and confidence difficulties. I work flexibly, offering therapy for adults, teenagers, and younger children — either individually, with partners or family members, and when needed, in close collaboration with schools, GPs, and other professionals.

I have specialist skills in supporting clients with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and Down’s syndrome. My work includes careful observation and behaviour support planning for young people who may find it difficult to engage in therapy directly. I also bring expertise in trauma-focused work, having delivered therapy for emergency service personnel, military staff, and those affected by homicide.

Alongside my clinical work, I am a lecturer and trainer on the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent mental health difficulties, OCD, PTSD, self-harm, and supervision. I also work with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, clinically assessing international nurses to ensure professional standards in the UK.

My professional knowledge is important, but what shapes me most as a therapist is my lived experience — both my own journey through mental health challenges and as a mother to two children with additional needs. Having been “in the other chair” myself, I know how lost and helpless mental health struggles can feel, and how powerful CBT can be in finding a way forward.
