Dr Jessica Memarzia
HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist offering CBT (including Trauma-Focused CBT) and integrative, neurodiversity-informed psychological therapy for children, young people and adults, alongside clinical supervision, and consultancy and training to professionals, schools and other organisations.
I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist (HCPC registered) with over ten years’ experience working across a range of NHS mental health services. I have supported children, adolescents and adults with diverse and complex psychological needs.
Compassion, kindness and respect sit at the heart of my practice. My core aim is to empower each person I work with to move towards recovery in a way that feels collaborative, meaningful and sustainable. I offer a safe, thoughtful space in which difficulties can be explored and understood, and where strengths and values can be harnessed to support change.
How I work
I can offer comprehensive psychological assessments to help inform how an individual may be best supported by those around them. Formulation sits at the heart of my approach; creating a shared understanding of what you are experiencing, how the challenges developed, what maintains them, and identifying your personal strengths and motivating factors for recovery, can sometimes be the most validating and hopeful part of therapy as it helps us identify how best to move forwards.
My clinical work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including Trauma-Focused CBT. Alongside this, I integrate approaches such as:
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Motivational Interviewing
Solution-Focused Therapy
Person-Centred practice
I work in a neurodiversity-informed way, recognising and valuing differences in how people think, feel, communicate and experience the world.
My approach is flexible and integrative, drawing on evidence-based models while tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs, strengths and goals. I aim to work collaboratively, ensuring that therapy feels accessible, empowering and attuned.

Alongside direct clinical work, I have held leadership roles within NHS services, contributing to service development, staff training and supervision. This includes supporting the development of best clinical practice within Autism assessment pathways.
Through my doctoral research, I completed a thesis focused on understanding PTSD in young people.
