Rachel Davidson
Integrative Counsellor offering relational, inclusive therapy for adults navigating loss, life transitions, and relationship difficulties.
I offer one-to-one counselling in central Cambridge, providing a supportive, affirming, and inclusive space where you can explore whatever feels difficult or important for you right now. I am a qualified integrative counsellor, blending different therapeutic approaches to ensure our work is shaped around your individual needs, goals, and pace.
My practice is grounded in relational-integrative therapy, allowing us to explore concerns arising from past experiences, present circumstances, or a combination of both, always with care, respect, and curiosity.
How I work
I work collaboratively, with the belief that therapy is most effective when it is guided by your unique experiences and priorities. Drawing on in-depth training in psychological development and humanistic counselling, I tailor therapy to support understanding, healing, and meaningful change.
I offer both short-term, focused therapy and longer-term work, depending on what feels most appropriate for you. Whichever approach we take, therapy is shaped by inclusivity, compassion, and a deep respect for your lived experience.
Areas I support
Trauma and addiction recovery
Interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, and co-dependency
Bereavement and loss, including complex grief
Life transitions, separation, divorce, co-parenting, and parallel parenting
Anxiety, self-esteem, identity, belonging, shame, and un-shaming
Special interests
I have a particular interest in the theme of loss, which is a universal and often complex part of life. Loss can take many forms over time — from bereavement, relationship endings, and separation, to loss of place, home, identity, or a hoped-for future.
Therapy offers space to explore these experiences with care and depth, helping to make sense of their impact and to find ways of moving forward with greater stability and self-understanding.
