I’m Dr Carrie Baker, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over twenty-five years’ experience offering compassionate, evidence-based therapy from my private practice in Cambridge. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges, providing a safe, confidential space to explore difficulties and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
How I work
My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each individual. I draw on a range of evidence-based models, supporting clients to understand their experiences with compassion and to develop practical ways of moving forward.
I have specialist training in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches where helpful.

I have worked extensively within clinical psychology across a range of settings and bring over twenty-five years of experience to my work in private practice. I welcome self-referrals as well as referrals from GPs and other healthcare professionals.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I offer clinical supervision to qualified clinical psychologists.
