BABCP-accredited Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist offering integrative therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.

Sometimes life presents challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from ourselves. I believe therapy can provide a safe and compassionate space to explore difficulties, reduce distress, and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges. My aim is to support people in identifying unhelpful patterns, building resilience, and reconnecting with meaning and confidence in their lives.

How I work

My approach is integrative, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I work alongside clients to develop a shared understanding of their experiences and to support growth, empowerment, and sustainable change.

I draw from a range of evidence-based and relational approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Biodynamic Breathwork (currently in training). Therapy is always tailored to the individual, recognising each person’s unique history, values, and goals.

Areas I support

  • Depression and low self-esteem

  • Anxiety disorders (including OCD, GAD, panic, phobias, social anxiety, and illness anxiety)

  • Post-traumatic stress and trauma

  • Stress, burnout, and overwhelm

  • Procrastination and assertiveness difficulties

  • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

  • Work-related stress, role transitions, and life changes

Who I work with

  • Adults of all ages (from late teens through to post-retirement)

Professional background & accreditation

I first studied Medical Anthropology and Cultural Psychiatry, motivated by a longstanding interest in how people across cultures seek healing and flourishing. This curiosity evolved into psychotherapy, and I have now worked for over fifteen years across NHS, academic, and private practice settings.

Alongside my clinical work, I lecture and supervise on the PGDip CBT programme at the University of East Anglia, and have previously co-managed a large team of CBT therapists within the NHS.

I am:

  • BABCP-accredited Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist and Supervisor

  • IPT UK-accredited Therapist

    • My training includes:

      • BSc Anthropology, University of East London

MSc Culture and Mental Health, University College London

PGDip Psychosynthesis Counselling, Psychosynthesis Education Trust (UEL)

PGDip CBT Evidence-Based Therapies, University of East Anglia
